2017 Red Ribbon Week (Team Up Against Drugs)

October 24

Oct 20: Theme-Our Community is Drug Fee. All are to wear Spartan gear, there will be a proclamation read at the football game, Banner made for the players to run through and footballs thrown out to the crowd which are red. Red wrist bands will also be given away by Elevation which state “Spartans-Drug and Bully Free”.  The 5th Quarter will also be including Red Ribbon week themes.

Oct 23: Theme- Hats off to being Drug Free & Bully Free. Where your favorite hat!

A parent’s program is scheduled for 6:30 pm at the Conneaut High School. Aundrea Boxill from the Ohio Governor’s Opiate Task Force will be speaking as well as Det. Taylor Cleveland, DEA representative on the Ashtabula Co. Sheriff’s Department. Elevation will have the “LURK” items on hand for parents to see!

Oct 24: Theme-Team up against Drugs. Everyone is encouraged to wear apparel representing their favorite sports team.

Oct 25: Theme- Real Hero’s don’t do Drugs! Dress up at your favorite superhero or community hero. The Police and Fire Dept. will be at the grade schools reading to the students.

Oct 26: Theme-My Future is Bright! Wear your college/military/career oriented attire.

 There will possibly be an Army recruiter on hand to speak with students.

Oct 27: Theme- Red-y to Live a Drug Free Life! Wear RED to support the community in honor of Red Ribbon Week!

Oct 28: The Conneaut Police Dept. will hold their bi-annual Drug Take-Back program. This allows anyone in the community to discard unwanted/unneeded medication at the police dept.

Elevation will be hanging RED ribbons downtown Oct 15th at 3pm and businesses are encouraged to decorate their store fronts with Red Ribbon themed decorations at a chance to win
