Save SEED From Your Garden

Fall is when the fruits of our vegetable gardens ripen their seed for the next generation. Local libraries are again teaming up with Red Beet Row Education Farm to bring seeds to the people and people to the seeds!

6 Chances to Learn Seed Saving!

You’ll learn how and when to collect and store seed from common vegetable plants and methods for seed cleaning and trickeries of cross-pollination. Red Beet Row’s own hands-on class, September 23, goes a bit further to cover common and uncommon vegetable, perennial, and fruit plants.

Rock Creek Public Library:  Thursday, September 14 at 5:30pm

Kingsville Public Library:  Monday, September 18 at 5:30pm

Conneaut Public Library:  Friday, September 22 at 5:30pm

Red Beet Row Education Farm Hands-On Class:  Saturday, September 23, from 1pm to 3:30pm (we’ll walk around the farm and save seed directly from various ripe plants–garden vegetables and perennials. Go home with seed!

Andover Public Library:  Monday, September 25 at 5:30pm
